We only meant to print
Delcube was planned as a pure 3D printing company. The idea: use our skills in modelling and visualisation to design unique products that are genuinely useful.
So we tried whatever came to mind, from placemats to 3D art toys.
Delcube is a small 3D studio from Donauwörth, Germany. Getting to where we are today took a while. This is the road we took, detours included.
Delcube was planned as a pure 3D printing company. The idea: use our skills in modelling and visualisation to design unique products that are genuinely useful.
So we tried whatever came to mind, from placemats to 3D art toys.
What always stressed us out was the post-processing. We want to get the best out of every piece, and visible layer lines or print flaws were not good enough for us.
Our figures in particular needed a huge amount of handwork before we were happy with them.

After a lot of thought we scaled this line back and moved our focus to where our strength lies: our know-how and services like 3D visuals and 3D printing.
The printer stayed, it just got a new job: for spare parts, prototypes and one-offs, what counts is that a part fits and holds. For brands and creators we make product visualisations, 3D animations and content, all of it in our portfolio.
The shop had to stay. So we took on new materials like fabric and leather and turned them into our product worlds: our own characters with names and stories, as in the world of Crypt Ooze.
Every piece is deliberately made in small numbers. That way we never have to mass-produce with extremely time-consuming post-processing, and we can put 100% of our focus on a few projects.

Today each of us does what we do best. Every field stands on its own, with a standard of quality that we and our customers are happy with.
Delcube is only just getting started. The three of us and our ideas have been around for a long time.
